前 言
本次展览作为广州美术学院油画谱系研究展览系列之一,主要是考察与区域谱系研究密切相关的油画系教学。广州美术学院油画系正式成立于1956年,但是其前身一直可以追溯到1922年广州市立美术专科学校西洋画科、1947年广州市立艺术专科学校西洋画组、1953年中南美术专科学校绘画系,1958年,油画系随学校南迁至广州。2005年其本科部分迁入大学城以来,逐步完善形成了以多元艺术观念为主导的工作室制,现有六个工作室,它们分别是:第一工作室(肖像与大型绘画)、第二工作室(观念绘画)、第三工作室(表现与抽象)、第四工作室(新绘画艺术)、第五工作室(当代艺术实验)、第六工作室(油画修复与材料研究)。
纵观当今世界,艺术教育模式大概有三种:第一种:贡布里希《艺术的故事》所提到的:“没有艺术只有艺术家”,以艺术家个体培养与传承为核心,主要关注的重心是“传统”;第二种:包豪斯的模式,主要以革新与创造的现代主义逻辑为核心,关注重心是“未来”;第三种:伯瑞奥德《关系美学》中提到的后现代艺术模式:“艺术机制产生艺术”,关注的重心是“当下”。
油画系工作室教学体制是以教师团队的创作理念结合教育的规律形成的教育机制,一直以来倡导“以持续的实践认识产生方法论”以“方法论引领创作、学术展推动教学”为路径,注重价值导向与国际语境的建构,力图成为当代艺术系统生产的一部分。本展览根据前文中第三种模式“艺术机制产生艺术”引申出“艺术机制生产”作为本展览标题,旨在通过考察机制生产的主体——作为艺术家的各工作室教师来呈现“谱系现在时”。
本展览邀请油画系38位在职、客座、兼职教师参加,他们分别是:范勃、郭润文、谢楚余、雷小洲、褚朱炯、安琦、林锋、谢郴安、郭祖昌、翁奋、薛若哲、方少华、赵军、陈子君、车建全、罗奇、马树青、沈瑞筠、刘晟、赵沐熹、邓箭今、胡赤骏、韩建宇、黄一山、王子芸、刘可、周力、秦晋、曾曦、何岸、李彦汶、贾鹏、陈国辉、苏恬、杨小彦、胡斌、陈婧莎、苏滨。

Preface
As one exhibition series of Exhibition on the Genealogical Research of GAFA Oil Painting, this exhibition mainly examines the education practices closely related to the regional genealogical study taken in the School of Painting and Drawing, GAFA. The Department, which was formally established in 1956 and moved south to Guangzhou in 1958, can be traced back to the Western Painting Section of Guangzhou Junior College of Fine Arts in 1922, the Western Painting Group of Guangzhou Junior College of Art in 1947 and the Painting Department of Central South Junior College of Fine Artsin 1953. Since its undergraduate education section moved to Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center in 2005, the Department has gradually formed a studio-based system nurturing diversified artistic ideas. Currently, there are six studios in the Department, namely: Studio 1 (Portrait and Large Painting), Studio 2 (Conceptual Painting), Studio 3 (Expression and Abstraction), Studio 4 (New Painting Art), Studio 5 (Contemporary Art Experiment) and Studio 6 (Oil Painting Restoration and Material Study).
There are roughly three patterns of art education in today’s art world: one, the pattern of “there is no art but artists” (a saying mentioned by Gombrich in The Story of Art), which focuses on the cultivation and inheritance of individual artists, and emphasizes “tradition”; two, the Bauhaus patter, which centers on modernist logic of innovation and creation, and emphasizes “the future”; three, the pattern of postmodern art’s “art produced from art mechanism” (put forward by Bourriaudin Relational Aesthetics), which emphasizes “the present”.
The Oil Department’s studio-based educational system is a marriage between teachers’ art practice philosophies and the educational regularities. It advocates “producing methodology from continuous practice and learning”, follows “leading art practice with methodology and improving teaching with academic exhibitions”, attaches importance to value orientation and the construction of international context, and strives to become a part of contemporary art system production. The title of this exhibition—“art-mechanism-based creations” is derived from the above mentioned third pattern, “art produced from art mechanism”, and the exhibition is dedicated to displaying “the present tense of the genealogy” by examining the teachers as the studio artists—the subject of art-mechanism-based production.
This exhibition has invited 38 in-service, guest or part-time teachers from the Department of Oil Painting. They are Fan Bo, Guo Runwen, Xie Chuyu, Lei Xiaozhou, Chu Zhujiong, An Qi, Lin Feng, Xie Chen’an, Guo Zuchang, Weng Fen, Xue Ruozhe, Fang Shaohua , Zhao Jun, Chen Zijun, Che Jianquan, Luo Qi, Ma Shuqing, Shen Ruijun, Liu Sheng, Zhao Muxi, Deng Jianjin, Hu Chijun, Han Jianyu, Huang Yishan, Wang Ziyun, Liu Ke, Zhou Li, Qin Jin, Zeng Xi, He An, Li Yanwen, Jia Peng, Chen Guohui, Su Tian, Yang Xiaoyan, Hu Bin, Chen Jingsha and Su Bin.
